It’s a bittersweet moment to see a class of children go on to kindergarten after spending months, sometimes years at Children’s House. But those feelings of sadness are always overpowered by the sight of happy children who are excited about going to school. These are children who will go into their classrooms knowing that they are important and that there are people who care about them. That is the graduation gift Children’s House gives to these young victims of child abuse. These children have the potential, confidence and self-worth to succeed in school. The long-term care provided exclusively to these kids at Children’s House makes this possible. The
Junior League of NWA gave each graduate a new outfit for school and backpacks filled with school supplies and provided the reception after the graduation. The Mom’s Club of Fayetteville also gave each of the kids at Children’s House a gift bag.
Bedford Camera and Video has provided the slideshow of the kids shown before the ceremony for several years. This is what Children’s House is all about. Giving these children the second chance they need and deserve for a happy childhood. A second chance to excel in school. A second chance to grow up without the fear of abuse. Congratulations to the Children’s House Class of 2006! We also welcome the new and returning children and look forward to guiding and helping them towards a life with no bad memories, smiles, laughter and future success!
